Donation-based yoga classes with Oms Giving & Coalition Against Trafficking in Women – Asia Pacific

Be kind, live your truth, and for sure, you will attract those whose paths run parallel to yours.

We at Oms Giving are very happy to share that we are partnering with the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women – Asia Pacific (CATW-AP). We will be offering donation-based yoga classes at the end of every month, where 100% of the proceeds will go to CATW-AP and their programs.

Part of the worldwide network of the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women, they fight against the sexual exploitation of women in the forms of prostitution, trafficking, sex tourism, and the like.

CATW-AP’s advocacy is two-fold

  • to make people more aware of women’s rights and how they’re being violated
  • to support women who’ve been survivors of trafficking, prostitution and any other form of sexual exploitation

That woman standing behind you in line, that woman behind the cash register, maybe even that woman next to you in yoga class – all of them could be survivors of sexual exploitation and you just don’t know it. Without us being aware of how much strength they’re mustering up, these survivors are living their lives and standing with a little bit more appreciation for their freedom than you or I probably do.

Try yoga, continue your practice, join our community – and help them along the way. Our first class with them is a slow flow Vinyasa class this August 29, Saturday, 1:30-2:45 at White Space Mind and Body Wellness. The energy exchange is P350 per person and rest assured that CATW-AP will put it to good use.

If you’re interested in helping out in other ways or sharing your skills with us or CATW-AP, get in touch with us or better yet, tell us after class.

See you then 🙂
